The whole door is one rigid panel pivoting on arms at the sides, counterbalanced by springs. There are fewer moving parts than a sectional, but the ones there are take more load, and the door swings outward as it opens — so it needs clear space in front, and a car parked too close stops it entirely.
Timber tilt doors are the other consideration. They warp with humidity, and a warped door binds in the frame no matter what you do to the mechanism.
Springs, pivot arms and cables for common tilt systems are still available. Frame hardware for discontinued brands often isn't, and that's usually what decides whether a door is worth repairing.
A technician should tell you honestly if parts have to be fabricated, because at that point the economics change.
Worth considering if the tilt door is timber, warped, or needs parts that no longer exist. A sectional lifts vertically so you gain the driveway space in front, and the counterbalance is gentler on the hardware.
